Autochair introduces the new Steering that offers the SMART choice.... SmartSteer is the latest product innovation to be added to Autochair`s recently launched Smart range of vehicle adaptation devices. This new, handheld steering device puts the vehicles secondary controls at the driver`s finger tips. Easy and safe to use, SmartSteer will control either 10 or 13 functions including; indicators, hazard lights, headlights, horn, windscreen wipers and fog lights. As people`s needs are varied, Autochair recommends that anyone looking at the new SmartSteer system looks at the functionality available and if it will fit with their vehicle. Whilst SmartSteer has been ergonomically designed to fit most vehicles and can be positioned on the steering wheel to maximise the drivers comfort, Autochair believe the driver should always test a product for suitability before purchasing. Robust and hardwearing, SmartSteer has a quick release feature allowing it to be removed from the vehicle when not in use this also means the vehicle can be driven as normal, if required. Installation from Autochair is easy and safe, as they look at what positions best suits the driver and whether installation is required on either the left or right hand side. Priced from £1245 SmartSteer is Motability approved. It also comes with a 5 year guarantee. Felicity Atkin, Marketing Manager at Autochair is enthusiastic about the new SmartSteer system, “As with most secondary control systems on the market, drivers have to familiarise themselves with the right button by touch. However, with SmartSteer, unlike other control systems there is no separate key pad to the steering ball which makes identifying the correct switch easy, ensuring the driver remains in complete control.” Continuing further, Felicity says, “At Autochair we recognise that people`s needs are different, our new Smart range of products has been introduced to respond to these. We are constantly looking at our range so that we can offer a range of products to suit all our customers needs and which will allow disabled people to get back on the road and lead more fulfilling lives.” | ||||||||||||||||
